Round Valley Scholarships

The John Haschak Public Service Scholarship Fund

Created by John Haschak, the current 3rd District Supervisor, to provide multi-year scholarships for Mendocino County Supervisorial District III (Covelo, Willits and Laytonville) high school seniors who attend vocational school, community college, or four-year college or university full-time in the United States. Priority will be given to students who desire to pursue careers in public service (e.g. education, law enforcement, local government, public health, social work, firefighting, Peace Corps./AmeriCorps, etc.) and demonstrate an interest in and passion for community service while in high school.  A GPA of 3.0 or better is preferred. 

Amount: $4,000 over four years ($1,000/year)

*One scholarship will be awarded in each area (Covelo, Willits, and Laytonville)

Requirements: A 2019 Community Foundation online application, including a high school transcript, and two letters of reccomendation. *We will also accept a Round Valley High school common scholarship application.
