Scholarship Program

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County scholarships have been established by local residents, often in memory of a loved one or family member. Endowing a scholarship provides a permanent way of honoring the spirit and attributes of those for whom the scholarships are named.

Some of the Community Foundation scholarships are “countywide,” while others are specific to a region. The donors who establish the funds choose the specific criteria for the awards. In 2019, the Community Foundation of Mendocino County awarded 78 scholarships totaling $229,000.

The Hammond Trust Emergency Services Scholarship is available year round for students from Mendocino County high schools and/or graduates attending the Explorer Academy, emergency technician (EMT) or paramedic training, Fire Academy, or a Bachelors in Fire Science degree program at an accredited vocational school, community college or four-year college or University within the United States. For more information please see the Hammond information and application below.

All other 2019 Community Foundation Scholarship program are now closed.  2020 Community Foundation Scholarship applications will be available in January of 2020.
