Mendocino Fire Safe Council – $5,000
For the purpose of providing project administration for the "Wildfire in the Hills" program, training to 6th grade teachers in Anderson Valley and Round Valley, and supplying curriculum and classroom materials to teach five one-hour lessons about wildland fires

Manzanita Services – $5,000
For the purpose of supporting the transportation program in securing a vehicle dedicated to assisting clients in keeping their appointments, and meeting basic life needs

 

Anderson Valley

Anderson Valley Grange #669$5,000
For the purpose of completing the Anderson Valley Grange's existing audio system for use in community events and workshops

Anderson Valley Historical Society $2,500
For the purpose of purchasing new computer equipment and the museum software "Past Perfect" in order to create a digital database of the collections of the Anderson Valley Historical Society

Anderson Valley Volunteer Fire Department – $5,000
For the purpose of providing three water tanks and associated pipes and valves as part of a water catchment system that will provide water for firefighting and firefighter training in the Philo/Navarro community and the greater Anderson Valley

 

Laytonville/Leggett

Leggett Valley School – $5,000
For the purpose of expanding the Tom Rea Memorial Garden into a student hangout by installing a drip irrigation system, benches, tables, trash cans, and additional plants

 

North Coast

Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens – $5,000
For the purpose of expanding, repairing, and rebuilding five bridges within the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens to create a more usable and visitor-friendly atmosphere

Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center  – $4,800
For the purpose of purchasing coffee and tea equipment for the new Old Coast Cafe Vocational Training Program

Redwood Coast Seniors, Inc. – $3,000
For the purpose of expanding the Senior Kitchen Garden by adding a greenhouse and gate in order to increase the amount of food produced for senior meals

Safe Passage Family Resource Center. – $3,000
For the purpose of developing a new website for Safe Passage and to enhance its Facebook presence in order to improve communication about Safe Passage to interested persons, and provide more information to families who need resources

 

Round Valley

Friends of the Round Valley Public Library – $5,000
For the purpose of completing the final stages of landscape construction on the Round Valley Library Commons public green space and building a gazebo, art installations, drinking fountain, benches, and safety lighting

South Coast

Acorn Partners in Education – $2,000
For the purpose of purchasing 6 kayaks and personal floatation devices for ACORN's Students Protecting the Coast stewardship program

Arena Theater Association – $5,000
For the purpose of purchasing updated theatrical lighting equipment which will provide improved lighting for performance and recording

Redwood Coast Recreation Center – $5,000
For the purpose of completing an 18 hole Disc Golf course and a Petanque Terrain

Redwood Empire Food Bank – $5,000
For the purpose of providing 25-30 pounds of healthy diabetic-specific food plus 10-15 pounds of fresh produce monthly for an average of 45 low-income South Coast residents facing hunger and type-2 diabetes

 

Ukiah Area

Alex Rorabaugh Recreation Center – $5,000
For the purpose of providing staff to expand the Open ARRC program to include two Sunday afternoons a month, which will enable more members of the community to benefit from ARRC programming

Grace Hudson Museum – $5,000
For the purpose of constructing a large metal Pomo fish basket sculpture to be installed in the Museum's Wild Gardens, in order to teach visitors about healthy rivers, Pomo Indian resource management in riparian habitats, and the cultural values that underlay these practices

Planned Parenthood Northern California – $3,800
For the purpose of delivering the first and only sexual health education program to residents of the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall by offering 24 one-hour sessions of sexual/reproductive health education, reaching 200 high-risk youth

Potter Valley Youth & Community Center – $5,000
For the purpose of developing an "All Boards" group within Potter Valley, administering a Community Needs Assessment, and developing a Community Plan, while also building internal PVYCC capacity and systems

Redwood Community Services – $4,500
For the purpose of redesigning the Arbor Youth Resource Center clothing closet to accommodate more clothes, putting in organizational structures in the Arbor play room, and purchasing storage lockers for youth to safely store their belongings when visiting

Ukiah Valley Trail Group – $5,000
For the purpose of installing a rainwater catchment system and native plant demonstration garden along the Ukiah Rail Trail and providing community education about native landscaping with the aim to inspire place-making through the greening of a currently blighted area

 

Willits

Willits Area Cyclists – $4,400
For the purpose of purchasing a trailer and other equipment which will increase the efficacy of trail building operations

Willits Center for the Arts – $5,000
For the purpose of equipping an existing space with a separate electrical service for a ceramic kiln and providing ceramic classes for multiple ages
