Countywide

Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino County – $5,000
To carry out a planning process culminating in a long-term succession plan for the organization

Mendocino County Public Broadcasting – $5,000
To pay for data conversion and training to use Allegiance Donor Management/Tracking cloud software service, and service for the first three months to enhance operational efficiency and create cost savings

Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program – $5,000
To increase the quantity and quality of foods available to small food pantries in remote rural communities - with an emphasis on fresh produce

 

Anderson Valley

Anderson Valley High School – $5,000
To fund the purchase of reusable teaching kits and equipment for use in the STEM program at Anderson Valley High School

 

Laytonville/Leggett

Camp Winnarainbow – $5,000
To rebuild the unicycle track for Camp Winnarainbow's summer unicycle program, which generates economic activity in the community

Laytonville Healthy Start – $5,000
To enhance Laytonville Healthy Start's backyard to create a safe, comfortable meeting space for clients and members of the community who frequent the Family Resource Center for a variety of programs and supportive services

 

North Coast

Kelley House Museum/Mendocino Volunteer Fire Department – $10,000
To complete filtration and circulation systems for Kelley Pond to create a water source for fire fighting in the village

Krenov Foundation – $5,000
To complete the first phase of the Krenov Archive of Fine Woodworking and publish on the Krenov Foundation Website, ensuring institutional memory will be secured for future generations and increase the notoriety of the fine woodworking program

Albion-Little River Fire Protection District – $5,000
To provide a facilitator/consultant to work with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders to develop a strategic plan consistent with the recommended best practices from local agencies, ISO, and insurance company

Mendocino Coast Writers Conference – $4,000
To design a new website that will build the capacity of the Mendocino Coast Writers Conference to reach more writers and to connect with larger literary audiences

Jughandle Creek Farm & Nature Center – $4,500
To hire a board consultant to work on board outreach to the community; development of policies, procedures, and orientation materials for new board members; and to continue strategic planning efforts

Mendocino Woodlands Camp Association – $5,000
To help repair 38 rotting balconies on the Historic Landmark cabins at the Mendocino Woodlands Camp

 

Round Valley

Friends of the Round Valley Public Library – $3,000
To provide backup electrical power allowing KYBU to remain on the air during a PG&E outage

Round Valley Indian Health Center– $5,000
To provide activities to connect local youth to the natural world by providing staffing and healthy food for 4 all-day field trips for grades 6 - 12 and 7 four-hour after-school adventures

 

South Coast

Action Network/Soroptimist International of the Mendocino-Sonoma Coast – $10,000
To provide enhanced career development education and planning opportunities to 150 Point Arena High School students

Garcia Grange #676 – $4,000
To expand the Garcia Grange's capacity to store and treat spring water for use in the Garcia Grange Hall thereby maintaining the viability of the Garcia Grange, especially during disasters

 

Ukiah Area

Raise & Shine/Ukiah United Methodist Church – $7,500
To provide partial funding to replace obsolete existing playground equipment with modern Naturescape play structures and features, for up to 36 children who participate in the Raise and Shine / First 5 Child Development Center program

Hopland Volunteer Fire Department/Ukiah Valley Fire Department – $9,000
To acquire mobile radios that are compatible with all emergency services within Mendocino County as well as other local state and federal agencies throughout the state

Mendocino Ballet – $1,500
To update and redesign Mendocino Ballet's current website to increase functionality and ease of use for staff, students and families, and people looking for information on the Mendocino Ballet and its programs and events

Mendocino County Youth Project/Ukiah Aikido – $9,000
To provide 45, two-hour long Therapeutic Aikido Groups for at-risk students at New Beginnings School to help them gain self-management skills and learn how to resolve conflict without violence

 

Willits

Willits Kids Club – $4,000
To purchase solar panels to provide power to Willits Kids Club's new portable classrooms thereby reducing utility costs and enabling more resources to be focused on programming

Brooktrails Township Community Services District – $5,000
To replace obsolete and unsafe playground equipment and surfaces with an enlarged playground area that will provide healthy opportunities for children of all abilities -2 through 12 years-of-age

Grange Farm School – $3,500
To complete the development of operational and communication policies and procedures as well as strategic planning that will increase the capacity of the organization to maintain financial stability and deliver programs

Ridgewood TRAIL Riders Association – $5,000
To improve the Ridgewood TRAIL Riders' facility in order to ready the facility for accreditation by PATH International, thereby increasing the population of participants and opportunities for funding to sustain long-term influence in the community
